We are ten years old this month
In 2004, Sam Stainsby had a vision of what an IT-based company should look like. It needed a foundation based on quality work, without unreasonable charges, but he also wanted to work with businesses and non-Government organisations that make a difference in society. As someone who had been climbing the corporate ladder, he was looking for a new challenge, and the timing seemed right to take a leap of faith and start his own business. In August 2004, Sustainable Software began. Starting out as a sole trader, Sam had the opportunity to work with a political party, and a large conservation organisation. A little over a year later, it was clear that the business was going places, and Sustainable Software Pty Ltd was born.
Over the past ten years we have worked with amazing clients doing incredible things to improve the world. From political parties and conservation groups through to medical groups, organisations focussed on Indigenous health, and ethical employment opportunities, to name a few, our clients are the movers and shakers that make things happen and we've loved helping them do it.
Of course no major milestone comes without a degree of reflection, looking at where we started, and where we're going. Over the next few months you'll notice some changes in the way we do things, all for the better of course, so be sure to check back in and see what we're up to. We've also decided that it's time to update, so we're celebrating with a new-look logo and website. We're excited with the changes and the plans for the future, and hope you like it too!
So here's to the next 10 years, and to all of the clients we've worked with during that time — some of whom are still with us. Thanks for making it such an enjoyable journey so far.
