winmail.dat attachments
Using email attachments called "winmail.dat" is a (very) non-standard way of attaching files to emails that is used by Microsoft Outlook when in certain configurations and will prevent people using other email systems from accessing your attachments.
See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/278061 for more information. If you wish to send emails with attachments to anyone who might not be using Microsoft Outlook for their email, such as those using web-based email or Mozilla Thunderbird, then follow the Microsoft support link and follow the procedure to stop using "winmail.dat" attachments.
