Overview

The ssIdManagement Plone product allows ordinary computer users to manage contacts, personnel, organisational structures and organisation-wide authentication using an intuitive Plone web interface.

This package is a generic tool where contacts could include staff, volunteers, donors, customers, contacts in other organisations ... just about anything. Similarly, organisational structures might include offices, committees, departments, branches, households, and so on.

Optionally, your identity data can be periodically exported to an LDAP server to provide enterprise-quality directory and authentication/authorisation services throughout your organisation. Such services might be used to manage membership and access to web sites, mailing lists, chat servers, computer accounts, and many other types of system through the standards-based LDAP protocol.

Sponsor and donors

This work would not be possible without the gracious sponsorship and donated code from the following organisations:

  • The Wilderness Society - The Wilderness Society is a community-based environmental advocacy organisation whose mission is protecting, promoting and restoring wilderness and natural processes across Australia for the survival and ongoing evolution of life on Earth.
  • The Queensland Greens - The Queensland Greens were founded in November 1991. Locally-based and independent of corporate interests, we are affiliated with the Australian Greens and part of a worldwide network of Greens parties. Our four guiding principles are: non-violence, social justice, grass-roots democracy, ecological sustainability. We believe these qualities are essential for human survival and well-being.
